High levels of E. coli in water cause Eagle Lake beach to close

Eagle Lake beach in Waterford Township has been closed due to elevated levels of E. Coli, the Oakland County Health Division announced Tuesday. 

A sign has been posted in the area and resamples of the water have been taken.

According to health officials, the beach water will continue to be sampled until levels fall below acceptable levels, then the beach will be reopened.

Now time estimate has been given.
