PONTIAC, Mich. (WXYZ) - Republican candidate for Michigan Senator, John James, held a rally Wednesday in Pontiac, and it was attended by a host of celebrity guests.
The "Protect the American Dream" rally was attended by Michigan native Kid Rock and President Trump's son, Donald Trump Jr., Ted Nugent, former Fox News personality Kimberly Guilfoyle. James' campaign believes that with the influence of his celebrity guests, it will help carry them to victory in less than three weeks.
Kid Rock introduced the nominee, who positioned himself as fresh, veteran blood opposed to incumbent Senator Debbie Stabenow.
"Being in military, I didn't fight for Dems or Republicans," James said. "That's what we're not getting out of Debbie Stabenow."
With polls narrowing, supporters believe they have the momentum come Nov. 6.
