The Easter Bunny made a special appearance in Novi on Sunday morning for families who have kids with special needs.

Before the stores opened, they were able to come to Twelve Oaks Mall between 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. so they could meet the Easter Bunny when there are no lines and it's quiet. It was a sensory friendly environment where kids got to have their pictures taken with the Easter Bunny, too.

Becky Malzahn says she wanted her son Colton, who has autism, to enjoy this experience.

"It makes me really happy. It's so easy for him to come have fun and not worry about what's going on around him," she says.

The event was put on by Cherry Hill programs and Autism Speaks.

Another sensory friendly Easter Bunny event is happening at Twelve Oaks Mall on Sunday, March 18th.
