LIVONIA, MICH (WXYZ) — A Livonia-based animal rescue group that saves dogs and cats needs a lifeline of its own.
Last Day Dog Rescue is struggling with$45,000 in expenses from the first couple months of the year. The facility's owner says almost half of that amount is from treating an influx of parvo puppies and dogs with heartworm.
Other costs include emergency treatment and kennel fees.
A volunteer and board member at LDDR says the bills are more than normal because the animals needed extra help. If you want to make a donation or volunteer as a foster family, you can do so https://www.lastdaydogrescue.org/animals/browse?Species=Dog
