According to law enforcement officials, fashion designer Kate Spade has been found dead in New York in an apparent suicide.

The Iconic fashion designer was found dead in her New York apartment on Tuesday, entertainment website TMZ reports.

Spade is 55 years old. No reason for her death has been announced.

The designer is Actor David Spade's sister-in-law.
