ASH TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) — Police are looking for a man who is accused of breaking into a vending machine at a rest stop in Ash Township.

A trooper from the Michigan State Police Monroe Post was called to the I-275 Rest Area for a report of a suspicious situation involving a wide-open vending machine door.

The vending machine was reportedly broken into, damaged and all the money was stolen from it. The incident occurred on Jan. 26, 2020, police say.

The suspect is described as a middle-aged bald man who was wearing khaki pants, a blue jacket, a blue shirt and glasses. Police say the suspect waited until the rest area was unoccupied to break into the vending machine.
