A man rescued his wife and daughter from a fire at his home in the 9200 block of Manistique.
He said his 19-year-old daughter and wife were trapped on the second floor. He is a roofer and had a ladder handy, so he grabbed it and was able to rescue them.
No one was injured and firefighters extinguished the flames.
