A man has been sentenced in the motorcycle crash that killed a 14-year-old in Roseville in October 2016.

Cody Soucie was sentenced to a maximum of 15 years. Investigators determined that he was drinking before the crash and had a blood alcohol content that was nearly two times the legal limit.

Although the teen, Ryan Mannes, was originally reported to be playing Pokemon Go at the time of the crash, it was revealed during the sentencing that he was throwing rocks at cars on the freeway with his friends.

Soucie was given a minimum sentence of 53 months and a maximum of 15 years.

He delivered a tearful statement before his sentencing, saying there is a part of him that will never be the same after the accident.

"If i could change places with Ryan, I would. If I could switch places with him, I would," Soucie said.
