A metro Detroit man who was running a prostitution ring out of a Redford motel was sentenced to up to 15 years in prison for running a human trafficking operation.
Christopher Lowry was arrested after an undercover sting. He pleaded guilty in March 2018 to a ten-year felony of human trafficking forced labor.
Investigators said the 24-year-old had 97 invoices with Backpage, a prostitution website.
He was previously incarnated before the 2017 arrest, and investigators believe Lowry was running the prostitution ring from his jail cell.
“Today, Christopher Lowery was sentenced on charges of human trafficking, which is a form of modern day slavery,” said Timothy R. Slater, Special Agent in Charge, Detroit Division of the FBI.
