A Downriver mother has been charged in connection with leaving her infant child unattended in her car in the Southgate Sam's Club parking lot.
Jamie Lyn Stefanko, 35, has been charged with Child Abuse - Fourth Degree and Child Abuse - Leaving a Child Unattended in a Vehicle.
On March 14, Southgate police officers arrived at the Sam's Club parking lot in the 15000 block of Northline Road and observed the child in the vehicle unattended. Stefanko was arrested at the scene.
