A Canton woman is counting down the days until her birthday.
However, that does not mean, she can’t start celebrating a few days early.
After all, it is an amazing milestone.
Why? Well, on Wednesday, the 4th day of July, Bonita Gibson will be, 107 year old!
Bonita lives in Canton now, but she spent most of her life, in Idaho, in the potato broker business, with her late husband.
The two were married for more than 70 years.
When asked what are her secrets to longevity? Bonita has a bunch.
“I’m outgoing. I’ve had lots of friends and lots of fun. I still play pinochle. Eating well and and sleep doesn’t hurt either," says the birthday girl.
Bonita Gibson, says so far, it’s been a wonderful trip and she’s still on the journey. Her message to the rest of us? Enjoy life, like she has and always will.
