Michigan Governor Rick Snyder will lower Michigan flags to half-staff Wednesday through Saturday in honor of former First Lady Barbara Bush.
“Barbara Bush was an admirable woman. Her passion for literacy and helping others and her commitment to civility will be remembered for years to come,” Snyder said. “I send my condolences and support to the Bush family during this time.”
Michigan residents, businesses, schools, local governments and other organizations are encouraged to display the flag at half-staff. Flags will be returned to full-staff the evening of Saturday, April 21.
