(WXYZ) — A Detroit man wanted for attempted murder has been tracked to Georgia, where he's believed to have continued his crime spree.

The U.S. Marshals say Allen Parker shot a woman in the stomach in November in Detroit, but the hunt for Parker led investigators to Georgia, where he has been tied to more crimes, including two armed bank robberies.

"He fled the state," said U.S. Marshals DFAT Supervisor Aaron Garcia. "We don't know where he is now, he may be back here, all his family is here. If we're going to get a tip, it's going to be from Detroit."

"He's charged with a series of crimes, including assault with intent to murder, weapons felony firearm, assault with great bodily harm, felon in possession."

Police say Parker shot the woman on Nov. 3.

"He takes off and flees to the Georgia area," Garcia said. "In the Brunswick and Glennco area, he does a home invasion and he robs a guy at gunpoint for money and drugs. The next day, he does two bank robberies."

While police in Georgia searched for those bank robbers, investigators with the Marshals identified the man inside the bank as the Detroit fugitive they had been looking for.

"He frequents homeless shelters and he's on these dating websites, meeting girls online," Garcia said.

Police say Parker's Plenty of Fish profile has led them to women with no idea of his criminal history, giving him a place to stay and hide from the U.S. Marshals.

"Now they're potentially in jeopardy, meeting this guy online, not sure of his history and his propensity to commit violent crimes,: Garcia said.
