DETROIT, Mich. (WXYZ) - Although the weather doesn't feel quite like spring, it's still technically spring time.
That means, the City of Detroit is preparing for the annual Motor City Makeover. The effort focuses on cleaning up neighborhoods around Detroit.
Mayor Mike Duggan says city services have been getting better, and that there are fewer abandoned homes. But neighborhoods still have problems with blight.
Motor City Makeover will take place on May 5, 12 and 19. Those interested in volunteering can sign up here.
