A motorcyclist t-boned a driver after police tried to stop him for not having a license plate.
It happened Saturday afternoon on 11 Mile and Main Street in Royal Oak.
Police tell 7 Action News the motorcyclist accelerated at a high rate of speed and passed several other vehicles. He then ran a red light and was struck on the side of an oncoming vehicle.
He was taken to Beaumont Hospital in stable condition.
The driver of the other vehicle was not injured.
Royal Oak police and the Oakland County Sheriff's Office are working to determine if alcohol or drugs are a factor.
