WEST BLOOMFIELD, Mich. (WXYZ) — Crews battled a fire in West Bloomfield early Friday morning.
Officials say a neighbor spotted the fire coming from the back of the house and called 911.
The home did have working smoke detectors, but they failed to wake up the family.
The neighbor ended up going over to alert the family of the fire and help them get out of the house.
Everyone in the family of four was able to get out safely. No injuries were reported.
The West Bloomfield Fire Department is still investigating the cause of the fire.
