(WXYZ) — NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced Sunday that players have voted to ratify a new proposed collective bargaining agreement.

The agreement outlines a 17-game regular season, high salaries for players and pensions for current and former players, as well as an increased roster size, according to the Associated Press.

The proposed CBA will give "substantial benefits to all current and retired players, increase jobs, ensure continued progress on player safety, and give our fans more and better football," according to a statement from Goodell.
