OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. (WXYZ) — Oakland County announced an expansion of its Live Healthy Oakland Discount program, which helps residents with the cost of prescription medications and provides discounts on health and dental services.
“We are determined to increase access to health care for everyone,” Board Chairman David T. Woodward said in a press release. “We're happy that the Live Healthy Oakland Discount Program has been expanded so that we can now offer enhanced discounts for residents and make health care more affordable for families.”
The enhanced program gives residents new access to:
– 24/7 telemedicine services provided through the low-fee health discount program
– Provides unlimited calls with a clinician without a co-pay
– An average of 30 percent savings on prescriptions for residents and their pets through the no-cost prescription discount program available at more than 66,000 participating pharmacies around the country
– Savings of 10 percent up to $10 at walk-in MinuteClinic locations found at select CVS Pharmacy or Target stores
“We want to make it easier to live healthy,” Kathy Forzley, director of Oakland County Health and Human Services, said. “This is a great resource for residents to use to save on healthcare costs.”
