Passenger in crash that killed tow truck driver on I-94 died on Friday

The passenger in a vehicle that hit a bus and killed a tow truck driver on I-94 last week has also died, Michigan State Police say.

According to police, 28-year-old Antoinette Butler died on Friday due to injuries she sustained in the crash.

Nader Chehadi, 42, from Ypsilanti, had died in the crash on May 29. Chehadi was assisting a school bus on the side of I-94 when an SUV slammed into the school bus, killing him.

The SUV was driven by 25-year-old Andre Edwards of Ann Arbor. He is in serious but stable condition.

Three children were also in the back seat of the SUV. 5-year-old Deprince Moor is in critical but stable condition, 4-year-old Desmond Moore is in stable condition and 2-year-old Darrel Moore was discharged from the hospital.

According to witnesses, an SUV made an abrupt lane change to the right, crossing all lanes of travel before driving onto the shoulder of the road. The driver of the SUV, Andre Edwards, did not have a valid driver's license.
