Police say an 18-year-old girl was shot in the leg by her boyfriend around 1:55 a.m. Sunday on Detroit's southwest side.
She was reportedly shot by her boyfriend in the left leg at the 1200 block of 25th Street. Police say she did not elaborate on the circumstances of the shooting.
The boyfriend then left the home walking with the handgun. The victim was transported to the hospital and police say the suspect is on the loose.
The suspect is described by police as a man wearing an orange jacket and armed with a handgun.
