Police say double murder in Inkster 'not a random incident'

Police have released more details on two people found dead inside of a home in Inkster.

Michigan State Police received a report on Thursday, April 19 at around 2:20 p.m. that a man and woman had been shot inside of a residence on the 3700 block of Fox Street.

When detectives arrived, they found two occupants of the home in the living room, dead from apparent gunshot wounds. 

The man and woman's 19-year-old son was also inside of the home. He was unharmed and unaware that his parents had been killed, police say.

Detectives say this was not a random incident, and they have received "several" tips from the community.
