A woman was sexually assaulted near the University of Michigan campus in Ann Arbor, in the 1000 block of Church St., Ann Arbor police say.
According to a crime alert sent to students, the woman told police that she was awakened to find a man sexually assaulting her. He then fled the residence in an unknown direction.
The incident occurred around 3 a.m. Wednesday.
