The principal of Center Line High School says students were approached by an unknown man at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

While students were practicing on the soccer field behind the Administration Building, they were approached by a man.

He was wearing a camouflage jacket, khaki pants and rectangle shaped sunglasses. The students described the man as possibly having special needs as indicated by his speech and actions.

He was seen to be in possession of a box cutter with a small blade.

Students immediately left the scene and reported the situation to an adult.

Andrea Szabo, principal of Center Line High School, informed parents to remind their children about the importance of being safe when away from home or school.
