13-year-old boy shot after sneaking out of grandmother's house on Detroit's west side

A 13-year-old was shot in a drive-by shooting inside a friend's house on Plainview near Joy Road on Detroit's west side. 

It happened around 1:20 a.m. Thursday after the teen snuck out of his house and went to spend the night at the friend's house.

There were other adults in the house at the time of the shooting as well as four small children. No one else was injured. 

Witnesses tell police that shooter was in the passenger seat of an gold, older model Ford Taurus.
