A 24-year-old Detroit man accused of shooting a three-year-old in the head has been charged with multiple felonies.
Exel Taylor has been charged with three counts of Assault with Intent to Commit Murder, Carrying a Concealed Weapon-Motor Vehicle, Carrying a Weapon with Unlawful Intent and four counts of Felony Firearms.
Taylor is accused of getting into an argument with a 28-year-old Detroit man on Saturday inside a gas station in the 15900 block of Livernois. The argument then became physical and spilled outside.
Police say that's when Taylor went to a car, grabbed a gun and began shooting at the man.
One of the shots hit the three-year-old, who was sitting in a car driven by her mother. The woman called 911 and the girl was taken to the hospital, where she is being treated.
Taylor ran from the scene and was later arrested by Detroit police.
He is set to be arraigned on the charged Monday.
