DeNate Lee, 27, was a father to seven young children, including four of his own, but early Thursday morning, Lee was killed during a home invasion.
Around 12:40 a.m., Detroit Police say Lee was inside his Steel Street home, located near Fenkell, when at least two masked men kicked their way in through the front door and announced a holdup.
Several items were stolen and Lee, a car wash worker, was shot multiple times. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Homicide investigators are hoping anyone with information in the case will make an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers at 1(800) SPEAK-UP.
