Detroit police are looking for two suspects who killed a man and his girlfriend, who may have been pregnant.

Now Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,000 reward.

Family members of George Mitchell are asking for your help. Mitchell and his girlfriend LaQuita Payton were killed March 31st.

According to the family, they were home when two suspects entered the front door and fired shots.

George’s brother was upstairs at the time, and heard the shots. He then came downstairs to find George and Laquita unresponsive. The two suspects fled on foot northbound on Rosemont.

Both George and Laquita died as a result of their injuries.

Mitchell’s sister Temika Anderson said, “We need closure, we need to know who took his life. Who took him away from us?”

George’s family says Laquita had just taken a pregnancy test days before and it was positive.

George was 52-years-old and father of two and grandfather. LaQuita was 30-years-old and leaves behind five children.

Now, family members want justice.

Mitchell’s niece Tiffani Johnson explained, “I just want to know who did this to my uncle, if you know anything or if you knew the person who did it, could you please turn yourself in, so my family can stop suffering from this.”

There is a cash reward of up to $2,500. You can call 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
