Message from WLPS Superintendent, Tom DeKeyser:
Good evening, I regret to inform you tonight that I am canceling school for tomorrow, Wednesday, March 14, due to a threat of violence against one of our buildings.
Shortly after school today, I received information about the threat. Northfield Township Police were notified immediately. Individuals were taken into custody, however, the case is still considered "active." As such, I am taking the added precaution of canceling classes in all buildings tomorrow. This will give the police, who are working through the night, added time to conclude the investigation.
I will provide an update on this situation tomorrow afternoon and how it impacts afterschool and evening activities.
