One puppy will be staying with firefighters in Dearborn Heights before and after her surgery.
Bluebell the Blue Heeler will arrive at the Dearborn Heights Fire Department's North Station Friday.
The firefighters will provide Bluebell with the comforts of home before and after her surgery to correct her malformed leg.
The Michigan Humane Society will provide all of the care essentials the firefighters may need, like dog food, a kennel, toys, medication and more.
Bluebell will arrive at the fire station Friday at 10 a.m.
