"I've lost sleep over it. It’s made me ill, physically ill to my stomach," said Dale Rogalski of a project that began in January.

Rogalski said he hired Calo Painting and Restoration to do a complete renovation on his Southgate home.

The goal was to retrofit it for his disabled, elderly father who now depends on a wheelchair.

With more than $30,000 given to the company, Rogalski says the work began but never quite finished.

Inside the home were missing cabinets and doors, no bathroom or toilet, half done electrical work and more.

Rogalski said it was impossible to have his ailing father move in without a working bathroom or kitchen.

But despite paying the majority of the the costs agreed to for the renovation, Rogalski said workers stopped showing up, and that he was met with several excuses from management about being short on staff.

A quick check with the Attorney General’s office showed at least one more complaint against Calo Painting & Restoration filed with the state.

Meanwhile, on a hunt for answers, the listed company address took 7 Action News to an entirely different business, while phone calls went unanswered.

Later, the company did respond in a statement saying...“We never just walked off the job or said we weren’t coming back…." Rather, they argued it was a delay of payments from the customer that slowed the job down...But did say they were willing to complete the job.

7 Action News will stay on the case until there's resolve.
