Teen shares regret in marijuana-infused Fruity Pebbles treats case

Posted

Rawn Williams, 17, was arrested and charged with Deliver/Manufacture of Marijuana after Wayne Police said the teen was selling Fruity Pebbles treats laced with marijuana to students at Tinkham Educational Center, Wayne's alternative high school.

"I was just thinking that, hopefully, this is all a dream and I could just wake up," said Williams to 7 Action News about seeing his mugshot that was released to the public Tuesday.

Because he's 17, Williams is considered an adult for purposes of criminal law and that's why we wanted to talk to him.

And outside his home Wednesday, Williams said he regrets the position he's now in, fears going to jail and just wants to return to school.

"Bottom line, we can't have people selling marijuana in the school, we just can't," said Wayne Police Lt. Ryan Strong who also wants to alert young people that buying the marijuana infused items is extremely dangerous because they don't know the potency or how it's been mixed.

Williams is now free on bond and expected back in court next week.
