Romeo Plank Road at M-59 will close for 10 days starting Monday, July 23 through Thursday, August 2. 

M-59 will remain open but access to Romeo Plank Road will be blocked off at 6.a.m. The road will re-open at 7 a.m August 2.

Posted detours will be 19 Mile Road, from south of M-59 or 21 Mile Road, from north of M-59 to Garfield Road to M-59.

MDOT reminds drivers it is illegal to use private property to avoid construction closures. 

The construction is MDOT's $60 million investment to improve M-59 in Macomb County, replacing concrete with asphalt, fixing drainage and upgrading ramps. 

The road work is expected to be completed by October 2018.
