U.S. Senator Cory Booker will be the keynote speaker for the annual NAACP Fight for Freedom Fund dinner fundraiser at Cobo Center May 6.

The event will begin at 5 p.m., with the keynote speech around 7 p.m.

It is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the Detroit branch NAACP, with 10,000 guests expected, including many local community leaders such as Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan, Dan Gilbert, Senator Debbie Stabenow and others.
