Bell's Brewery and Founders Brewing Co. were recently named the top two breweries in the United States by the American Homebrewers Association, and several of their beers have been named the top beers in the U.S.

Bell's Two Hearted Ale was named the No. 1 beer in the United States, according to the American Homebrewers Association. That's the second straight year the IPA was named the top beer.

"Brewed with 100% centennial hops from the Pacific Northwest and named after the Two Hearted River in Michigan's upper peninsula, this IPA is bursting with hop aromas ranging from pine to grapefruit from massive hop additions in both the kettle and the fermenter," the description reads on Bell's website.

Bell's Hopslame was also ranked fourth in the best beers in America category. Tied for fifth is Founders CBS (Canadian Breakfast Stout) and KBS (Kentucky Breakfast Stout) with Founders Breakfast Stout coming in at No. 9 and Founders All Day IPA tied at No. 10.

Other Michigan beers on the list include:

  • Old Nation M-43 N.E. IPA - T27
  • Founders Dirty Bastard - T43
  • Bell's Oberon - T43
