Students hacked into the Bloomfield Hills student information system, according to a Facebook post.
The student information system houses all the student and family data. School officials said the students manipulated personal grades, attendance and lunch balance information for a small number of Bloomfield Hills High School students.
Officials said the investigation is ongoing. All traces of data manipulation point specifically to approximately 20 students. The students reportedly gained access to the system by exploiting a vulnerability. Officials say that vulnerability has been resolved.
As an extra precaution, all Parent Portal passwords will be reset Friday.
