Roseville police responded to a call of a suspect who broke into a home and began damaging property Thursday morning.

According to a release, the homeowner called the police to report an unknown man who had entered the home and began damaging items inside the home.

Before police arrived, the homeowner's neighbor responded and attempted to subdue the suspect, who is identified as 38-year-old Jamill Jenkins of Shelby Township.

When officers arrived, they found the two men wrestling on the floor of the home. When the neighbor removed himself from the physical altercation, police gave Jenkins verbal commands. Police say Jenkins refused to follow those commands and resisted arrest, which is when the suspect was tasered then placed under arrest.

Jekins was arraigned and given a $10,000 cash surety bond. He's currently in custody at Macomb County Jail where he awaits an Oct. 31 court date.
