You'll be able to get some of your favorite items delivered from Target soon, as the company has partnered with Shipt to bring same-day delivery to metro Detroit.

According to Shipt, they will begin same-day delivery of more than 55,000 groceries, essentials, home, electronics, toys and other products to the state. It will begin on June 14.

Areas in the state with same-day delivery include Detroit, Flint, Grand Rapids, Jackson, Kalamazoo, Lansing, Marysville/Fort Gratiot, Mt. Pleasant/Alma, North Lakeshore, Saginaw and Traverse City.

On top of that, the company is offering a special annual membership deal for those who sign up before June 14. The membership is discounted to $49 compared to $99 and you'll also get a $15 credit to spend on a Target order of $100 or more.

“Same-day delivery was at the top of our list when we were thinking about ways to make shopping at Target even easier,” John Mulligan, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Target, said in a release.

By the end of the year, they expect the service to be available in 65 percent of households across 180 markets. The company hopes to expand to include all major product categories at Target in 2019.
