DEARBORN, Mich. (WXYZ) — "Team Fox in the D" will host the 4th Annual Detroit Benefit Gala on Saturday, Sept. 21, to raise funds for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
"We were amazed by and so grateful for the Detroit community's support and we can't wait to host you again," said Donna Rajkovic with the organization. "This is our way of doing something personally to help further the Foundation's mission to speed a cure, and to help bring meaningful advances in treatments to those affected by Parkinson's."
The event will be held at The Henry Hotel in Dearborn, and will honor family, friends and loved ones in the Parkinson's community.
Deborah W. Brooks, co-founder and Executive Vice President of Team Fox New York, will be speaking at the gala.
Since 2016, when the event first started, Team Fox in the D has raised over $600,000 for Parkinson's research, and a 100% of those proceeds went to high-impact research programs.
The gala aims to raise $250,000 or more at this year's event.
