Posted

TEDxDetroit will mark its 10-year anniversary with the event on Wednesday, Sept. 26 at the Masonic Temple in Midtown Detroit.

The first wave of tickets for the day-long conference will go on sale Tuesday, April 17 at 12 p.m. at tedxdetroit.com.

"For the past decade, TEDxDetroit has been bringing together the charged particles – the entrepreneurs, the innovators, the creators," said Charlie Wollborg, curator of TEDxDetroit and co-founder of Moka Boka. "This day is all about shining a light on big ideas and inspiring stories and stretching the boundaries of possibility."

TED, which stands for technology, entertainment and design, created the program TEDx, which are programs of local, self-organized events that bring people together.

This year's event, like others, is dedicated to sharing positive ideas for the world from Detroit through TED Talks videos and live speakers with discussions.

They are taking applications for speakers and presenters at tedxdetroit.com.
