DETROIT (WXYZ) — We know it’s going to be a long road to recovery and it’s not going to be easy. We’re going to lean on each other until we make it through to the other side.

We want to take some time to introduce you to a new initiative we are working on to help our state get on to road to recovery.

We're calling it The Rebound Detroit, we've done it before, we can do it again and 7 Action News is here to help.

“How am I gonna survive or how are my employees going to survive? How are we going to pay bills?” said small business owner Jason Rios.

Circumstances we never saw coming. Financial difficulties we never imagined.

“It gets kind of scary there after 3 weeks of no payment,” said small business owner Sarah McConnell.

For many of us, our livelihood has been thrown into question, prompting an information vacuum, the need for answers, the thirst for resources and advice.

How do we navigate these unprecedented times? We do it together through a new WXYZ initiative called ‘The Rebound Detroit’.

You’re worried about your small business; we'll help you find resources to keep it going.

You need help finding a new gig, we’ll bring you the people hiring.

You’re concerned about an unemployment system riddled with delays; we’ll want to help you navigate through the process.

We’ll hold the agencies accountable!

We’ll help you understand work programs and demystify the bureaucracy.

We’ll tackle a new normal, help you manage the pressure, not just on your money, but on your mind -- how to cope with isolation, how to conquer anxiety.

We’ll bring you the experts that you need, and keep you uplifted sharing the rebounds Detroiter's are making and the people helping.

“We can all do something and we can all make sure that this very vibrant Detroit that we worked so hard to build over the last 10 years is just as vibrant a year from now, “ said Matt Cullen, CEO of Bedrock Detroit.

Join us as we push through the pain and uncertainty-- and work to get back to the real spirit of Detroit…..together, we will set the stage for, yet another rebound.
