A United Airlines flight made an emergency landing at Detroit Metro Airport Tuesday morning, according to an official from Chicago's O'Hare International Airport.
The flight was traveling from Chicago to Greenville, South Carolina, but was diverted to DTW due to possible smoke on the aircraft.
It landed without incident at 9:37 a.m. and the fire department responded. Although the odor of smoke had dissipated from the cabin, the aircraft was turned over to United's maintenance team for inspection, a DTW official said.
