A Wayne County doctor and professional MMA fighter are in trouble with the law. They've been charged with receiving bribes and kickbacks for ordering bogus drug tests.
Joshua burns and Dr. Francisco Patino are accused of a Medicare and Medicaid scheme dating from 2012 to 2014.
“I’ve been coming here for a while, the only good doctor,” said one of Dr. Patino’s Sterling Lynch. “He’s nice, real nice man.”

The indictment says the pair received kickbacks and bribes for referring urine samples and ordering urine drug test to be conducted at Dr. Patino’s lab.
The two men are accused of causing Medicare to pay around $2.6 million for urine drug testing claims, all of those secured through illegal kickbacks and bribes.
Dr. Patino is also accused of prescribing two million dangerous painkillers in a 112 million dollar scheme.
