Jessica Wrijil thought she lost her wedding band forever after it dropped into the water at Maple Beach at Kensington Park, but thanks to Facebook she was able to find it.

“I was sad, very sentimental for me,” said Wrijil.

Wrijil’s wedding band has coordinates on it, the location on where her husband proposed to her in the upper peninsula. The band also has the name of her children, Jacob and Olivia.

A few days after losing the ring, Sarah Bullinger was at the same beach and saw a sparkle in the water.

“Just happened to be at the lake with my kids and we were looking for seashells and I looked down and picked it up and there was a ring,” said Bullinger.

Bullinger decided to put the ring on Facebook in hopes of finding the owner.

“I’m a wife and a mom myself, and I thought it was sentimental, and I would want it if I had lost it,” said Bullinger.

The post was shared more than a thousand times, and Jessica’s babysitter spotted the post and let her know.

Now Wrijil is forever grateful to Bullinger.

“Nothing like that’s ever happened to me, and I can’t believe she went through all that trouble 'cause I don’t think most people would,” said Wrijil.

“I was just really happy to find her, I just it felt really good just wanted her to have her ring back and you know once I found out it was her kids names it brought tears to my eyes little bit because I can only imagine if I lost something that was that sentimental,” said Bullinger.
