Police say a 19-year-old man was hit by a train in Westland at Michigan Avenue and Merriman Road.
He was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Three men were reportedly walking near railroad tracks; one of them was not paying attention and sustained minor injuries.
Police do not believe alcohol or drugs played a factor in the accident.
