Lake Orion Police need your help locating a suspect accused of assaulting a victim with a baseball bat on June 22.

Mark David Rinier II, 41, is from the Cincinnati area and was abandoned by friends in Lake Orion earlier this week, police say.

The victim took Rinier in to help him with a place to stay until he could make arrangements to return to Ohio. He then beat the victim with a baseball bat at their home, resulting in serious injury.

Rinier is a white male, 5-feet 11-inches, 220 pounds with short cropped brown hair and blue eyes. He has a tattoo of a pyramid on one arm and may be wearing a white T-shirt and long dark color shorts. Rinier also goes by the name "Prince."

Police say the man may still be in the Lake Orion area and may approach people asking for money and a place to stay. Rinier is not believed to be armed but should be considered dangerous.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911 or contact Lake Orion Police at (248) 858-4911.
