A woman died of gunshot wounds after an apparent domestic dispute in Inkster.
Inkster police were dispatched to Cherry Valley Drive early Thursday morning on reports of a domestic dispute between a man and a woman.
Upon arrival, police entered the apartment through an unlocked door and located a deceased woman with apparent gunshot wounds to the head and shoulder area.
Police say neighbors heard loud noises and the suspect brought over his 4-year-old son and asked them to take care of him because he and his girlfriend were fighting. He also asked the neighbors to call 911.
The suspect then left the apartment complex and shortly after turned himself in at the Detroit Police Department 9th Precinct.
