A 25-year-old woman was assaulted and forced to open a safe during a robbery while working as assistant manager of Family Dollar located at Warren in Detroit.
Police say on Wednesday at 10:50 pm., the victim was closing the store when a man approached her and forced her back into the store, implying he had a handgun.
Once inside, the man punched her twice in the face and asked for the combination to the safe. Upon opening the safe, the suspect removed an undisclosed amount of money, then ran away.
Police describe the suspect as a black man, 5 feet 5 inches tall with a medium build, who was wearing all black clothing and a white ski mask.
