A local family is seeking justice after a young father was shot dead outside the Martin Luther King apartments in Detroit.
The family says on May 20, 26-year-old Terrence Marks II left home to pick up a friend from work around 8:45 p.m. After that, Mark went to visit a friend who lived at the MLK apartments on East Lafayette.
Around midnight, Marks pulled over his brown 2011 Buick Regal, exited the vehicle and was shot by an unknown suspect.
Shortly after, the family was notified Marks had been shot and was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.
Marks left behind 7-year-old daughter Jordynn. He graduated from the University Prepatory Academy where he became fluent in French. He later attended Henry Ford Community College, where he majored in Business Administration.
Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering a cash reward of up to $2,500 for tips leading to the arrest of the person responsible for Mark's murder.
