UPDATE: Police say they have located the mother and the young girl with autism and her mother have been reunited

Eastpointe police are asking for the public's help identifying a young girl with autism who was found wandering on Thursday morning.
According to police, the girl was found on 9 Mile just east of Gratiot. She has autism and can't provide much information about where she lives.
Police say she was first seen in the area of Nevada and 9 Mile and she was eventually picked up about 10 a.m. two blocks later. The clothing in the photo is not the clothing she was wearing when she was found.
She is 3-feet-6 and weighs about 60 pounds. Child Protective Services is on the way to pick the girl up.
