DETROIT (WXYZ) — The Alliance of of American Football (AAF) is in its inaugural season with eight teams across the country, but the league may already be looking to expand, and the Motor City may be on the list.
The founder, Charlie Ebersol, said in a tweet that Detroit is not a bad idea for a future franchise. It came as a response to Detroit's own Eminem, who tweeted about the league.
"Dear @THEAAF, Please entertain this thought regarding the @AAFIRON @AAFEXPRESS game: Allowing the players to actually fight would be key to league's success like hockey, I would watch every game (even though there is no Detroit team yet - Hint). Don't blow it. Sincerely, Marshall," the Eminem tweet read.
In a response, Ebersol tweeted, "Detroit is not a bad idea for a future franchise. Let me know if you want in on it."

Currently, the league has teams in Arizona, Atlanta, Birmingham, Ala., Memphis, Orlando, Salt Lake City, San Antonio and San Diego. Only two of those cities have NFL teams, Arizona, which has the Cardinals, and Atlanta, which has the Falcons.
We have reached out to the league for clarification on the tweet
